Los Cristianos still has the air of the original fishing port, with the early morning fish market on the quayside supplying the many restaurants in the quintessential Spanish resort.  There is a lovely sandy beach and rocky shoreline, a pedestrian promenade set with tables and chairs from the various cafes, bars, and restaurants each side, where you can enjoy a variety of international snacks and meals.  Wander into the side streets and you'll find local enjoying tapas, or sipping a 'cortado' (small coffee), or the thirst quenching nutty taste of the local Dorado beer.  

In the evening the night life is more relaxed than its neighbour Playa de Las Americas, but those seeking a more livelier entertainment will find it within easy reach.
